The SJI Historical Society met at 2:00 pm, Nov 18 2025 at the St Joseph Twp Public Library.

In attendance: Will, Bernie, Grant, Roy, Perry, Aleen, Carole and Debby.
Minutes from Oct 21 2025, were read by Bernie. One small spelling mistake corrected. Motion to accept by Debby, second by Grant. Carried
Financial Report for Oct 31 2025 was read by Bernie. Starting balance $7,837.68, end balance $7,833.68, total assets $7,907.83. Motion to accept by Aleen, seconded by Perry. Carried
Bernie noted she just made a deposit of $360.00 for recipe books and map.
New Business
Memorial Plaque for Alice Ward. A suggested wording was circulated and approved. Bernie will sent an email to Jocelyn Township requesting their official response for this, and will contact Ken for further suggestions.
Committee Reports
Fundraisers – Maps – one further map has been sold.
Recipe Books – a further 13 have been sold. An ad will be placed in the Clippings in the next week or so.
Historical Signs – Bernie will contact Jocelyn Twp for their official response to adding the U Line Cemetery sign to their list of signs to maintain.
Cemeteries –St. Boniface Cemetery is updated and new burials added to Find-A-Grave.
Grace United Cemetery - Hilton Twp has given copies of all the pictures they took of new burials which will save us a lot of work. The binder files will be updated accordingly and copies of pictures printed..
